Man Killed in Pidgeon Hill Road Crash

A man was killed in a two-car crash Friday night on Pidgeon Hill Road in Huntington Station, Suffolk police said.

The crash occurred about 8:30 p.m. at the Windham Drive intersection. The victim, who died at the scene, was a passenger in one of the cars. The driver was critically injured and airlifted by Suffolk police helicopter for treatment at Stony Brook Hospital. 

Several other people in the second car were slightly injured.

Residents reported that Pidgeon Hill Road was shut down between the South Huntington Public Library to Wolf Hill Road shortly after the crash.

Windham Drive is just north of St. Anthony's High School.

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to the scene.
