Man Wanted in Cell Phone Theft

Suffolk police offer reward in theft from Verizon store.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking a man who stole a cell phone worth $600 from the Verizon Wireless store in Huntington Station.

On Friday, Jan. 4, , at 7:25 p.m., the entered the Verizon Wireless store, located at 350 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station, and removed a dark blue Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone from the display by cutting the security cable that was attached to the phone. The man ran out of the store with the phone without paying for it.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s. He was clean shaven and was wearing a red and gray jacket and a black baseball hat that had gray and white writing on the front.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential
