Two Hospitalized After Armed Robbery at Dix Hills Home

Police believe the suspects were known to the victims.

Two people were hospitalized following an armed robbery at a Dix Hills home late Sunday night, Suffolk Police said. 

Police said two men with masks and guns entered a house, which had several people inside, at 800 Deer Park Road through an open door shortly after 11 p.m. 

The men pistol-whipped one female and one male and stole a wallet and a cell phone before fleeing in an "unknown direction by unknown means," police said.

The victims were taken to Huntington Hospital for to be treated for their injuries, specifically lacerations to the head, police said.

The person who called in the incident to police said that the suspects were known.
