A man distracted by a cold drink spilling on his lap while driving in Melville crashed into another vehicle Wednesday morning, police said.
The driver of a Hyundai, which was headed south on Broad Hollow Road near Spagnoli Road around 9:40 a.m., struck the back of a Nissan that was stopped in traffic, police said.
The impact caused the Nissan to crash into a utility pole. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to the hospital with neck and back injuries, police said.
