Police Seek Suspect In Puppy Store Robbery

Authorities say woman stole Pug from Dix Hills pet store on Feb. 17.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Second Squad are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a woman who authorities said stole a puppy from a Dix Hills store.

According to police, a woman entered Yipity Yap, located at 1802 East Jericho Turnpike, on February 17 and allegedly stole a black purebred Pug from the store. The incident took place around 1:30 p.m. The dog is valued at $1,800.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. A cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest is being offered.
