Police: Worker Found Dead at Melville Sand and Gravel Plant

Edy Zambranovera, 23, was discovered lying near his truck Monday afternoon; pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

A Queens man working at a Melville industrial site was found dead near the back of his commercial truck Monday afternoon, police said. 

Police were called to 110 Sand Co. at 136 Spagnoli Road at 1:11 p.m. after employees saw the body of Edy Zambranovera, 23, lying on the ground. 

Zambranovera "suffered significant internal injuries" and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police did not specify how Zambranovera may have been injured. He was an employee of City Recycling in Brooklyn.  An autopsy will be conducted as the investigation continues.
