Reward Offered in Hit-and-Run

Man collided with another car, then fled the scene.

Suffolk County police are looking for a man who left the scene of a collision in Melville last month.

 A woman eastbound on Ruland Road  was struck by a light-colored silver or white Honda CRV.  The man driving the Honda had made an illegal left turn out of the 7-Eleven parking lot at 613 Broadhollow Road in Melville.  Police said he stopped after the crash, apologized to the victim and fled.

Police said in the man is his late teens or early 20s with a thin-build and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall.  He was wearing a red V-neck T-shirt and black pants.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are  a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
