Update: Silver Alert Canceled

Huntington Bay woman last seen near Walt Whitman mall.

Second update:

Suffolk police canceled a Silver Alert y for a woman who went missing from the Whitman mall area Sunday afternoon. Police said Monday morning she had been located and was unharmed.

Update: Suffolk County Police issued a Silver Alert Sunday night for a Huntington Bay woman who suffers from diabetes.

Marilyn Labate, 67, is described as white, 5 feet 1 inch tall, with gray shoulder-length hair, and weighs 160 pounds.  She was last seen at the Walt Whitman mall about 4:30 p.m.  She was wearing a black shirt, black pants and was carrying a cane and an oxygen pack.

 Police said she may have been sighted at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the Stop & Shop, located at 8101 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury.

Anyone with information on her location is requested to contact Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252.

Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
