I went to the pool for the first time today and was very disappointed. My son and I had a membership last year and had so much fun swimming there. The pool is too shallow to swim in, period. Everybody was just walking around in the water or sitting on the side. I also use a pool for exercise and during the winter months keep a membership at Hofstra. The lap area is the only functional area for swimming, but it was full of kids. There were a dozen teen-age girls just standing across three lanes and talking. All but one of the remaining lanes were taken up by small kids whose mothers were sitting up on the deck or in the shaded area along the side the lanes while their children splashed and played. One adult was swimming laps. I sat waiting for a lane to open for 40 minutes before leaving. I watched the life guards change twice and none of them said a thing to the kids misusing that section of the pool. I am SOOO glad I didn't go ahead and pay for another summer membership. I've never been to Christopher Morley, but that will be next stop. If not that, then I guess I'm driving down to Hofstra all summer long. Such a shame. The old pool was very nice and the open layout made it feel much less crowded. The lifeguards also used to keep on top of the lap swimming situation.

The new pool in Manorhaven is another disaster check out what Jon Kaimen Adminstration did to the indoor pool on Denton Ave in New Hyde park that is another indoor kiddie theme park and when it was open for FREE for months it was still empty no one was there. The kids go up and down the slide 3 times and it is old they want to go back on a computer. Parents will not pay for this kind of foolish activity. Both pools are impossible to work out in 3 feet of water is not deep enough. Now the TNH will be stuck with these pools as Jon Kaimen moves on to higher political aspirations.

I visited the pool for the 2nd time on Saturday, and again no chairs available. For $11.00 there should be adequate seating for all, not not sitting on the wooden steps. Not my idea of a relaxing day at the pool. Fix the problem, or was that not in your "Shared Vision" the anticipation of more people and less lounge chairs over the weekend?
