Meet Delilah, Shelter Pet of the Week

Seeking a new family pet? This sweet pup might be the right one for you and your family.

Update: Delilah's been adopted, according to shelter officials.

Original Story
Delilah is a cuddly and sweet pup with a short, white coat of fur at the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter who's just waiting to find her forever home filled with much love and care to spare.

According to shelter officials, Delilah is the shelter mascot and official greeter, spending her days in the office.

She's about 9 years young, and is a very sweet, gentle girl, they said.

"Delilah will need veterinary maintenance with some skin conditions and weight loss, but she loves to be pet and cuddled with. She has a knack for holding a conversation and will tell you all her woes," shelter volunteers noted.

An American bulldog/English bulldog mix, she's up-to-date with her routine shots, and has already been spayed.

For more information about Delilah, call the TOB Animal Shelter (BAARC) at 631-643-9270, go to the shelter's Facebook page, e-mail the shelter or visit the website. Delilah's ID number is 12-26.

Be sure to click the images to see Delilah up close. Or simply go to meet her. The shelter’s open between 10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
