Zeldin Wins Second Term in State Senate

Republican defeats Frank Genco in 3rd Senate District.

Republican Lee Zeldin handily defeated Democrat Frank Genco Tuesday to hold onto his State Senate seat.

With 201 of 205 districts reporting, Zeldin held a 56-44 percent lead (48,223-37,143) over Genco, a former member of the East Islip Board of Education.

The 3rd Senate District includes Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Patchogue, Medford, Bayport-Blue Point and portions of Sayville.

Zeldin posted this statement on his Facebook page Wednesday:

"Yesterday, I was given the privilege to represent the residents of the 3rd Senatorial District for these next two years. I would like to thank everyone for your support...the voters, my great volunteers and staff, and especially my family, including my wife, Diana, and daughters, Mikayla and Arianna. This is an important time for our community, state and nation, and we need strong leaders at every level government to work together to improve our economy and way of life. It's an honor to be chosen to do my part for you in the NY State Senate."

Zeldin told Patch last month that he was running for re-election to build on the success he achieved in my first term and to continue his efforts to cut taxes, reduce wasteful spending and create jobs.

I'm not accusing anyone of "faking it". http://www.coachoutletonlinegg.com My point is that our Pompeii - like most classical http://www.coachoutletonlineaol.net sites, in fact - is the product of collaboration between http://www.coachfactoryoutletwy.com modern rebuilders and conservators, and the original Roman builders http://www.coachoutletstorefc.com themselves, with the lion's share of the work on our side. And it's no less impressive or moving http://www.coachoutletaol.org for that - as the body casts help to show. One of http://www.coachfactoryonlineest.net the video clips played in the exhibition at the Getty Museum comes http://www.coachfactoryoutletpst.com from Roberto Rossellini's film, Voyage in Italy, in which the lead couple, http://www.coachfactoryoutlettx.com played by Ingrid Bergman and George Sanders, tour the country as their marriage http://www.coachfactoryonlinefc.org disintegrates. On their visit to Pompeii they watch the plaster being http://www.coachoutletwy.com poured into a cavity left by two of the victims. http://www.coachoutletonlineybw.com In the movie's most haunting scene, these victims emerge as a couple.
