Fixing Long Island's Economy

A real Jobs Plan to help fix Long Island's economy.

While news reports last week that Congressman Tim Bishop was criticized by a leading non-partisan ethics group for abusing his power to funnel $580,000 to a family member and their business is troubling, it shouldn’t surprise anyone given his history of self-service over public service.

FYI, you can learn more about the ethics groups’ charges @ www.BishopsFamilyBusiness.com

Remember, this is the same Tim Bishop who, as the Provost of Southampton College, put ten family members on the payroll while he was in the midst of irresponsibly piling up $55 million in debt and running that treasured institution into the ground.

It’s no wonder that during Bishop’s ten years in Congress, more than 30,000 jobs have left Long Island.  His tax, spend and borrow policies have expanded the size and cost of government, while forcing our children to leave the island to find jobs after college and helping to foster a home foreclosure crisis that has adversely impacted our neighborhoods.

With your support this November, I will forge a better path for the future.

As the father of two young children, I am concerned about what kind of country they will inherit from our generation.  As a self-made businessman who built two American companies from the ground up and created more than 1,000 American jobs, I have the real world experience Washington is sorely lacking.

My 10-point jobs plan for Long Island will boost small businesses and improve our economy by:

  1. Giving entrepreneurs the tools they need to start new businesses.
  2. Reform and simplify the tax code and lower rates for the middle class
  3. Repeal and replace Obamacare with common sense reforms that lowers the cost of insurance
  4. Eliminate unnecessary, job-killing regulations
  5. Roll out the red carpet for businesses looking to settle here, not the red tape
  6. Expand domestic oil and gas production, and promote renewable energy
  7. Foster the growth of our local fishing industry
  8. Support Suffolk County’s Agricultural community
  9. Incentivize private sector employers to hire local veterans
  10. Attract new capital investment to Suffolk County

I encourage you to read more about the entire plan by visiting www.Randy2012.com/jobsplan and look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail over the campaign’s final 100 days.
