Alternatives For Children School in Melville Closed on Monday
Continuing challenges with weather forces closure of local special education school.
WALK is reporting that the Alternatives for Children school in Melville will be closed on Monday. The announcement was made around 5 p.m. and posted on the radio station's Storm Center web page.
The school's other locations in East Setauket, Aquebogue and Southampton will also be closed on Monday.
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, the Half Hollow Hills School District had not made an announcement about whether schools would be open on Monday.
