PHOTOS: Students Say Goodbye to Barnes & Noble

Sunquam school children enjoy picking out books during an evening event at the store slated to close in January.

Sunquam Elementary School celebrated the joys of reading during what may be their last visit to the Huntington Station Barnes & Noble, which is next month.

Nov. 3 was the 's annual Barnes & Noble night, in which students enjoy picking out books, listening to stories and creating book-releated crafts.

Students and faculty participation made the evening successful, with a portion of sales benefiting Sunquam’s library. Families enjoyed activities such as read-alouds, bookmark creativity and Starbucks beverages.

Even the faculty band got into the fun putting on an upbeat concert for the children.
