Over the weekend, Candlewood Middle School students performed the musical hit "Guys and Dolls." The musical production brought to life many Damon Runyon characters in New York City, amid the hustle and bustle lifestyle of the ‘20s and ‘30 gamblers, show girls, missionaries and police force.
Candlewood’s cast featured many talented students. To name some: Sam Nackman as Sky Masterson who falls for the missionary Sarah, played by Samantha Lange. Nick Genovese was Nathan Detroit, always looking for that “floating crap game,” and who was engaged for 14 years to the showgirl Miss Adelaide, played by Anna Romano. Kyle Dana was cast as better Nicely Nicely.
Candlewood’s production staff consisted of Director Doug Gerbino, Judith Arth, Nicole Marsh, Lauren Lesser, and Lynne Berke.
