Hills West's Tyler Grimaldi Makes it Official, On His Way to Harvard
Tyler signs his wrestling commitment and acceptance to attend Harvard University.
Congratulations to Half Hollow Hills High School West senior Tyler Grimaldi on his commitment and acceptance to Harvard University where he will join the nationally ranked wrestling team.
To date, Tyler holds virtually all of the wrestling records in Half Hollow Hills wrestling history, including the record for the most wins--148 total (through his junior year).
Tyler is the only athlete to have ever been elected captain of a HHH varsity team for all four years. His athletic accomplishments in wrestling are numerous: having been named All-American National High School Wrestling Champion in folkstyle, All-American Junior National Champion in freestyle, All-State and New York State Championship Finalist, twice All-County and Conference Champion, and four-time All-Conference.

In addition to wrestling, Tyler participated in varsity football and varsity lacrosse during his freshman and sophomore years.
Tyler stated, “I have always taken my commitment to teams as serious as my schoolwork.”

Though his practice schedule is an intensive seven hours daily, his additional responsibilities include membership in tje National Honor Society, Senior Class Vice President, Peer Ambassador, and Athletes Helping Athletes.
Tyler’s work ethic remains strong: “I have always led by example in the classroom, on the mat, and in the hallways,” expressing that even as a youngster, it was his dream to attend Harvard.
