PHOTOS: HHH 5K Draws 271 Runners

Half Hollow Hills hosted its 4th annual Wellness Fair and 5K Run/Walk on Sunday.

Bull-horn in hand, Superintenedent Kelly Fallon shouted the count down for the start of the fourth annual Half Hollow Hills 5K Run/Walk and Wellness Fair at on Sunday Nov. 6.

It was a beautiful, sunny day for the 271 runners. Electronic tallies and times, were scored by Prospect Sports, as the participants crossed the decorated finish line.

Participants can visit www.thelastmileracing.com to view their timed results. Best overall first place winners were Sean Grossman, 15, in the men’s category and Jill Faber, 16, in the women’s category.

The Wellness Fair followed the awards ceremony with plenty of healthy choices choices for the runners to enjoy. Bagels fruits, drinks, and snacks recharged the runners with the help from students volunteers who set up the booths. Physical Education Teachers led games in the gym and attendees were pampered with free back massages. Participants were also able to receive free blood pressure, cholesterol and gluscose screenings.

This event was sponsored by Director of Physical Education Patrick Murphy in conjunction with the PTA Council and organized by PTA member Christina Noriega.
