The Half Hollow Hills School District is advising residents to be aware of a dangerous prank.
Here's the message posted on the district website:
It has been brought to our attention that potentially dangerous devices known as “soda bottle bombs” have emerged as a popular prank. Please be advised that these devices contain harmful chemicals and can explode if shaken. The amount of force generated from this explosion is enough to cause serious injury. If you see a suspicious plastic bottle on your property or on school grounds, it is recommended that you not handle it.
