Dix Hills Girl Scouts Hold Toy/Book Drive

Brownie Troop 1228 and Daisy Troop 2868 give back as part of the Second Chance Toys Earth Day celebration.

Girl Scouts of Suffolk County Brownie Troop 1228 and Daisy Troop 2868 from Forest Park Elementary School in Dix Hills held a used toy and book drive for the the Second Chance Toys Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 6.

The girls donated 100 plastic toys and two play kitchens in good working condition to Long Island Headstart in Huntington. They also donated 800 books to this preschool. They then sent two more car loads of toys to the Family Service League in Huntington consisting of a bicycle, wooden rocking horse, puzzles, board games, stuffed animals, dolls, and other toys.
