Bridge of Hope Summer Hosting Seminar

Host Families Needed for Bridge of Hope Summer Hosting Program - info sessions on 2/27 and 3/4

Are you interested in sharing your family and love for a few weeks with a Russian, Chinese or Ukrainian child? The Bridge of Hope for Russian Children, a non-profit group that supports Russian orphans, is looking for families interested in hosting
an older child for three weeks to help them experience the basics of family life. The children, ages 6 - 13, will attend a local camp arranged by the host family that may provide swimming, games and other typical American summer experiences.

The program also sponsors weekend cookouts, pool parties, and other events that enable children to stay in touch with friends from their orphanage and give host families the opportunity to share experiences.

Long Island open house sessions are scheduled for February 27 at East Northport Library and March 4 at Dix Hills Library. For directions and times please call or email LI Coordinators Deb Servinskas at 516-971-3241, host2adopt@live.com, Marisa Bernhard at 917-239-2188, mettaworks@aol.com, or Patrice Gancie, Director of Bridge of Hope at 301-587-4400. Reservations are requested.
