Half Hollow Hills Hosts a Mini College Fair

The college process is more than just SATs, ACTs, and GPAs...

The October Fall mini college fair is an annual event at both Half Hollow Hills high schools. Students have the opportunity to informally meet with admissions representatives, learn about the academic majors, campus life, and collect brochures. It was especially important for seniors as the November Early Action/Early Decision application deadlines neared, and gives juniors the chance to explore their options.

This year’s program, with 52 colleges present, was held on Oct. 23 at both schools, coordinated by Directors of Guidance Donna Gross at Hills West and Robert Citrano at Hills East, and the guidance staffs.

Hurricane Sandy definitely impacted the admissions process for thousands of high school students in the tri-state area. As a result, most colleges and universities extended their application deadlines to accommodate seniors who were affected by the widespread power outages.
