On Saturday, Feb. 2, with the auditorium filled to capacity at Hills East, this one-night-only event showcased the vocal accolades of approximately 50 Half Hollow Hills students from the district’s four secondary schools. The event, hosted by PTA Special Events Committee, with co-chairs Corrie Ann Young and Suzanne Hausner.
Congratulations to all the contestants who were spectacular and professional in their performances. The selected winners were:
HHH High School Idol—Sheimyrah Mighty, a Hills East 9th grader, who sang
“I have Nothing.”
HHH Middle School Idol—Elena Seo, a Candlewood student who sang, “Gravity.”
Tie-breaker for HHH Best Group—The ‘B’-Tones from Hills East who sang a Backstreet Boys Medley and The Twins, Elizabeth and Katherine Thompson, Hills East 9th graders, who sang, “Listen To Your Heart.”
Hair styling was courtesy of Cactus Salon. Winners will be rewarded with a guest appearance on WBLI 106.3 and the recording of their song by Music Idol Entertainment.
