HHH Administrator Salary Freeze [POLL]

What do you think of the school district's decision to stop step increases for two years?

The Half Hollow Hills Board of Education presented a preliminary budget with the lowest increase in 15 years during a district financial forum on Tuesday.

Part of the planned savings is due to an agreement to freeze administrative salaries for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years. The decision will save $1.2 million over the two-year period. Included in the plan is a stipulation that no administratiors can be let go due to budgetary reasons during that time.

While no administrators will be cut, 61 other district employees, including 35 teachers (18 of whom will be excised for lower enrollment) will be. The remaining teachers will see their step increases reinstated after taking a salary freeze this school year.
