Hills West Baseball Star Signs Letter Of Intent to Fordham

Congratulations to Half Hollow Hills High School West senior Luke Stampfl on signing his Letter of Intent to Fordham University. He will be playing baseball for the Division I Rams.

Stampfl has amassed many awards throughout his high school career as a hitter, pitcher and shortstop. He broke the record for the best batting average (.513) in Hills West history; twice-named All-League; in his junior year was named All-County, won the Silver Slugger Award for being the best hitter in Suffolk County, and Team MVP. During his sophomore year, Stampfl was the recipient of the Coaches Award.

As a high honor roll student, Stampfl is a member of National Honor Society and Business Honor Society. His other extra-curricular activities include Future Business Leaders of America, Athletes Helping Athletes, and Varsity Club.
