Hills West Home to Hart Poetry Finalists

Terrence Day and Ekta Kohli will see their creativity appear on Huntington's local transportation.

Two High School West students were recently recognized by the Town of Huntington Public Art Advisory Committee for its Poetry for the HART (Huntington Area Rapid Transit) Public Art Initiative.

Tenth grader Terrence Day and 11th grader Ekta Kohli attended a reception held at the Walt Whitman Birthplace at the end of April.

Terrence’s poem, “The London Bridge” and Ekta’s poem, “Everybody’s Doing It” were selected from 138 student poem submissions. Their creativity will appear on Huntington’s local transportation.
