Hills West's Tyler Grimaldi Named News 12 Scholar Athlete

The wrestler is recognized for his athletic and academic performance.

Harvard-bound Tyler Grimaldi, who attends Half Hollow Hills High School West is the recipient of the 2012/2013 News 12/Capitol One Scholar Athlete Award.

The accolade recognizes Grimaldi's outstanding performance both in the classroom, and on the mat.

Grimaldi is a two-time All-American Varsity Wrestler who holds virtually all of the wrestling records in Half Hollow Hills wrestling history, in addition to numerous athletic titles.

Varsity Head Wrestling Coach Mike Patrovich nominated him for this award. Academically, Tyler is also a high achiever and is a member of The National Honor Society.
