HS East We the People Wins Award at National Finals

State champion team proves it's in the same league as the nation's best.

The We the People team took home an award at the national competition held over the weekend in Washington D.C.

While the East team, which claimed the state title in March, didn't place in the top-10 competing against teams from all 50 states, it still proved it belonged among the nation's best at the 24th annual We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution National Finals.

The East team snagged the award for best non-finalist score in Unit 4, "How the Values and Principles Embodied in the Constitution Shaped American Institutions and Practices."
