HS West 10th Grader Wins Award

2011 Scholastic Art and Writing Award Regional Gold Key Winner, Caitlin Dwyer

Congratulations to High School West 10th grader Caitlin Dwyer on being named a Regional Gold Key Winner in the 2011 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition.

Twelve thousand entries were submitted and 500 students now advance to the national level.

Caitlin’s submission was a children’s story and was one of 107 regional winners.

This award recognizes student achievement in the visual and literary arts in 29 categories such as poetry, graphic design, fashion, science fiction, more.

Each submission is reviewed by a panel of arts professionals for originality, technical skill, and personal vision/voice.
