HS West Grad to be Honored by Ithaca College Music Honor Society

Kimberly Dyckman, a musical star in high school, continues to thrive in college.

Kimberly Dyckman, a 2012 High School West graduate, is set to be honored by Ithaca College's chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda.

Dyckman will receive a "Certificate of Honor" from the national music honor society during an award ceremony at the college in April. 

During his time at High School West, Dyckman was a member of the All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble, All-State Mixed Chorus, All-County Vocal Jazz Ensemble, All-County Women's and Mixed Chorus, as well as the Nassau-Suffolk Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

In 2012, Dyckman received the "Louis Armstrong Vocal Jazz Award," and scholarships from The Huntington Arts Council, The Greater Nassau Chorus, and The Long Island High School for the Arts, for achievement in music and musical theater. 

Dyckman, who graduated in the top-20 of the High School West Class of of 2012, is also on the Dean's List at Ithaca with a 4.0 GPA.
