Local Students Learn About Columbus

Meet the littlest explorers in Half Hollow Hills.

Columbus Day is a federal holiday observed on the second Monday in October, this year on the 8. The actual day Christopher Columbus arrived in America was October 12, 1492. The story is a great history lesson for the younger grades throughout Half Hollow Hills. Like little explorers, students learned about the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria, and where we all live on the globe…because the world is round.
