Kicking Her Way To La Salle

Half Hollow Hills East soccer player Jessika Kagan signs letter of intent.

Half Hollow Hills senior Jessika Kagan recently comitted to play soccer for Division I La Salle University in Philadelphia.

Kagan plans to major in psychology with a minor in either business or nursing.

As two-year Captain and lead scorer for East’s varsity team, she has collected many athletic accomplishments incuding All Conference and was twice named All League.

The soccer star is also a varsity track participant, and was named an All State competitor in the 4x200 meter relay her freshman year. She has played for the champion New York State soccer team, Albertson Fury 93. The team is ranked third nationally and coached by Women’s Pro Coach of the Year Paul Riley.

As a youngster, she began her soccer career with the Dix Hills Soccer and Brentwood Clubs, moving on to ODP Select, Long Island Rough Riders and N.Y. Eastern State Team in the Rider Cup Selection.
