Matthew DeBlasio Joins The Fighting Irish
HS East swimmer signs Letter of Intent to Notre Dame.
senior and swimmer has signed his Letter of Intent to attend the University of Notre Dame.
Matthew has numerous high school accomplishments: Two-time All-American in the 200 IM; New York State Public High School Champion in the 200 IM as a junior; named to the All-State team as a freshman, sophomore and junior in the 200 IM and 100 back; Suffolk County Champion in the 200 IM, 100 back, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay sophomore and junior year; six-year varsity swimmer on Half Hollow Hills’ team, undefeated these past five years; holds school records in the 100 back, 200 IM and 200 Free; two-time team captain and MVP.
In addition, Matthew swims with Team Suffolk.

Matthew will also be participating in several upcoming events including the county championships on February 19 and state championships on March 5.
