A weekend full of Homecoming 2011 events began on Friday at the Half Hollow Hills East pep rally with the introduction of the Homecoming Court, costumed skits, and Fall athletic teams.

On Saturday, Oct., 22, the day's events kicked off with a parade with the sun gleaming off the marching band instruments. The musicians kept the beat as the cheerleaders, football team, Dixettes Kickline, homecoming court and fans rallied to cheer on the Thunderbirds and show their school spirit.

The Hills East Thunderbirds took the field against the Deer Park Falcons. Hills East showed heart and detrmination as their school rallied behind them as they raked in a number of touchdowns, but fell to Deer Park by a score of 46-18.

After the game, Hills East fans continued to show their school pride in an evening of relay competitions between the classes, and the announcement of Homecoming Princess and Prince.
