Hills East Soccer Star Commits to Harvard

Jake Freeman will play for the Ivy League school.

Half Hollow Hills senior Jake Freeman has given his word to Harvard University. He has agreed to play for the Ivy League school in the fall.

The stand-out soccer player is a four-year scholar athlete and holds numerous athletic accomplishments.

Freeman holds the title of team captain, team MVP, League II MVP, 2011 All Long Island Team, All State and All Region.

In his freshman year of high school, Freeman was named named Rookie of the Year. By his sophomore year, he was named to All League. He was chosen for All County the following year.

As a youngster, Jake began playing soccer for the Dix Hills Soccer Club, coached by Bart Nason. Currently, and since January 2010 he plays for Albertson Soccer Academy coached by Adrian Gaitan.
