Students Named to Competitive Musical Ensembles

Music students of Hills East and West have been named to All-County and All-State.

Several Half Hollow Hills students have been selected by the New Yotk State School Music Association to represent the Half Hollow Hills School District in the 76th Annual All-State NYSSMA Winter Conference taking place Dec. 1-Dec. 4 in Rochester.

Acceptance into the All-State ensemble is based upon the results of an extremely rigorous audition process. These 11th and 12th grade musicians from and are ranked the best in the stare. Of the top ten school districts in New York State for NYSSMA participation, Half Hollow Hills comes in second place overall.

Students have also been named as All-County Musicians by the Suffolk County Music Educators' Association (SCMEA). The concert will take place on Friday, Nov. 18 at Huntington High School.
