Voter's Guide: Half Hollow Hills School Budget, Board Election

Half Hollow Hills District residents will vote on the district’s $234 million proposed budget for the 2014-15 school year on Tuesday.

The proposal calls for a 2.61 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 2.34 percent percent tax levy increase, which is within the state's tax cap.

School officials say the fiscal plan allows for a “focus on re-evaluating and reinstating prior budgetary restrictions where possible,” according to the district’s newsletter.
