Whiz Kids: HS West Young Artists

Five Hills West students showcased at Heckscher Museum of Art exhibition.

Each year, Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington hosts “Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at the Heckscher."  This juried exhibition provides an opportunity for high school students to have their work exhibited in a professional art museum.

Congratulations to the Hills West students whose art work was recently selected for exhibition. Five students from the art classes of Jennifer Ievolo and Amanda Montiglio were recognized. They were:

  • Tania Jain
  • Alexandra Puleo
  • Jennifer Young
  • Jillian Wilson
  • Alexa Marton

Additional awards went to Tania Jain, a Bianchi Scholarship recipient, Alexandra Puleo, who won the Heckscher 3rd Place in Show Award.

Art teacher Ievolo also received a Heckscher Teacher Recognition Award for mentoring the students that received Heckscher awards/scholarships.
