Feb. 16: Hills West Senior on MSG Magazine Cover

Here are five things to know about today in Half Hollow Hills.

1. Check out the cover of MSG Varsity the Magazine this week featuring Hannah Finger of the Half Hollow Hills High School West badminton team. The magazine said that Finger was chosen for the winter issue cover to display the diversity of athletic pursuits available in the Long Island region. Hannah has been recognized as one of the best badminton players on the island.

2. Melville's Henry Schein Inc., a medical supplies company, announced its sales reached a record-breaking $8.5 billion.

3. In the same week that one Melville company is enjoying billion-dollar sales, another is going out of business. Mandee, located on Walt Whitman Road, will close within 10 days.

4. Congratulations to the High School East girls varsity basketball team which secured a place in the playoffs last week after defeating Northport 35-34. The team has it's first playoff game on Friday.
