"We already have almost half of our boxers secured for the 2012 event. However, we are looking for more people to participate. Boxers will get exposure for themselves and their businesses. They also get an opportunity to train in a professional fitness training program and, of course they support a great cause," added Matt Silver, co-founder of the Long Island Fight For Charity.

The Long Island Fight For Charity is an event formed by Jamie Austin, Jeff Cohen, and Matt Silver to benefit the Long Island Community Chest, an on-going fund to provide immediate, short-term financial support to needy individuals and families on Long Island and the National Foundation for Human Potential, an organization to promote, develop and encourage educational and support services for children and adults with different abilities through financial and other means of support. In addition, each boxer has a unique opportunity to select a charity of their choice to also receive event proceeds. The event also features a restaurant showcase, where attendees have the chance to sample some of Long Island's best restaurants.  To become involved as a sponsor, boxer, committee member, or participating restaurant call HJMT at 631-393-0220 or visit http://www.lifightforcharity.org.
