Rasheed Williams Dominates as Hills East Football Edges Pat-Med

Senior Williams outstanding on both sides of the ball as T-Birds come away with 41-40 victory.

In a game that could have been entitled "The Rasheed Williams Show," Hills East beat Patchogue-Medford 41-40 on their home turf Saturday.

Williams, a senior, scored two touchdowns, one of which was a 78 yard kick-off return. He was dominant on both sides of the ball, recording 9 tackles and one interception on defense also.

Quarterback RJ Nitti continued to amass passing yardage, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns.

The T-Birds and Raiders traded scores throughout most of the game, but Hills East maintained their grit and fought on til the end. The turning point in the game came in the third quarter for the T-Birds. Nitti went to receiver Dan Bockelman for a 78 yard touchdown pass that gave Hills East the lead, and Hills East held on to come out on top.

Other standouts in the game included linebacker Maleik Henry who had 13 tackles, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery, wide receiver Devin McDonald had four catches for 98 yards and one touchdown, and wide receiver DJ Paul had 2 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.

The T-Birds face Brentwood next Saturday in the Hills East Homecoming Game. Game time is 2 p.m. Come out and cheer them on!
