Tough Man Competition Held at Hills East

High School varsity wrestlers face off to earn title of strongest man.

The wrestlers of the Hills East varsity team sought to prove their might in a "Tough Man Contest," held Saturday at the high school by coach Bill Davey.

The wrestlers competed in several events, including a 100-yard-dash with a tire, weight lifting, medicine ball throw, shuttle run, iron ax hold, sleigh push pull, farmers run and prowler pull.

Mike Macchia took the light weight division, Matt Haenel led the middle weight and Michael Morris won in the heavy weight class. Morris was also named "Tough Man MVP."
