Winter Care Tips For Your Pavers and Concrete

Stone Creations of Long Island Winter Tips

We seen some snow and ice in our area in 2014 so remember no matter which deicer you use make sure you use the correct amount. If you over do it even concrete safe products can cause damage to your pavers and concrete. Keep in mind that more is not better.
Calcium Chloride or Magnesium Chloride is the safest for Bricks, Pavers, Concrete and Asphalt. They are less damaging to the surface and surrounding landscape. If you need to use rock salt use it as a last resort and please make sure to rinse off your driveway or patio as soon as possible as it will cause damage to pavers, concrete and natural stone. If need be you can use sand or kitty litter as it is safe for all surfaces and animals. Be safe.
