Hoops and Dreams for Camp Anchor Angels
Supervisor Kate Murray and the Town of Hempstead proudly “court” Joe Lynch of Floral Park as he presents the Second Annual Malone Mulhall Benefit Basketball Game on Saturday, July 28, at 1 p.m. in the gymnasium of Adelphi University in Garden City. Featuring top-flight collegiate and professional players from the metropolitan area, the game honors the memory of Camp ANCHOR counselors Jamie and Paige Malone and Michael Mulhall who tragically died in an automobile accident on the way to the ANCHOR complex in July 2010. Monies raised from the game will be used to establish scholarships at the honorees’ alma maters, the University of Scranton (Michael Mulhall) and the University of Richmond (Malone sisters). Tickets, priced at $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and younger, will be sold at the door beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

Family Festival
The St. Rose of Lima Elementary School's annual family festival continues in Massapequa this week. There'll be rides, games and food. There'll also be a raffle for prizes up to $5,000. It starts at 7 p.m. in the school parking lot. Hours are 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. weeknights and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Pay-one-price bracelets available every night. Pulse Concert
Pulse, a New York City based dance/house group, takes the stage at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park on Saturday, July 28, as part of Tanger's free Summer concert series. Show begins at 6 p.m. at the Arches Fountain. 

Sunset Drumming Circle
The second season of the drumming circle at Venetian Shores Beach in Lindenhurst continues on Saturday, July 28. Every Saturday night beginning an hour before sunset, people begin descending onto the circle drawn in the sand. And you know they're coming to drum as you witness people carrying a variety of drums with them - mostly West African djembe drums, bongos, tom drums, and an assortment of percussives such as tambourines, maracas, and more.  There's hula hooping, dancing and singing. It's always free. 

Patchogue Patch Blood Drive
Want tickets to a Mets baseball game? Get them by donating at the next Patchogue Patch Blood Drive on Thursday, July 26, at Artspace Patchogue, 20 Terry Street, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. To guarantee a spot please email michael@patch.com with the time you'd like to come down to reserve a time slot.

Tattoo Convention
The United Ink Tattoo Convention will be held at the Nassau Coliseum from July 27 to 29. The convention will showcase artists from around the world. In addition to the tattooing, other booths will feature piercers, tattoo supply companies, tattoo aftercare companies, clothing companies, companies that insure tattoo shops, tattoo attorneys and more. Tickets are $18.50 for a day pass, $40 for a full weekend pass and children 12 years old and younger are free. The tickets can be purchased at the Nassau Coliseum box office and via Ticketmaster.
