High School West Junior Jordan Stummer along with The New York Cosmos will be holding a Toy Drive for Children at Cohen Children's Medical Center of New Hyde Park New York, The Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop, Mineola New York and The Ronald McDonald House of New Hyde Park, New York on August 23, 2013.

We are looking for donated items including and not limited to unwrapped and new toys, soccer balls, t shirts,  New DVD's, Hot Wheels, Barbies, Nerf Toys, Lego sets, Play-Doh, teen crafts, bubbles (3-5 oz ), batteries, gift cards and other fun ideas kids 5-18 would love to have.

The highlight of the event will include the kids playing “Score a Goal" where patients will be able to get a soccer ball into a net by any means possible to receive a great gift donated by NY Cosmos, Vitriturf, Dick's Sporting Goods, Warrior Lacrosse, Town Bagel, etc. All shooters win.

During this month there will be a final request for donations which may be dropped off at my house or any of Dr. Stummer's office locations in Northport, Plainview and Bellmore. Limited pick up will also be available.

The event is scheduled for Friday August 23, where soccer players from local academies and clubs will be playing with the kids, interacting, and holding the "Score a goal" event. This year’s Toy Drive will bring smiles to the faces of many kids who can enjoy the fun and gifts! We hope you’ll join us in making a difference and giving hope to the children and their families who are fighting cancer and other serious illnesses.

Any questions please call Dr. Stummer at 516-449-1842.
