Lemonade Stand Raises $1,350 for Cancer Research

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

That’s the philosophy the Melville branch of Power Home Remodeling Group adopted when its employees raised $1,350 for children’s cancer research last month through an office lemonade stand.

As part of a company-wide initiative to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a leading foundation for pediatric cancer research, the local branch hosted a series of events and fundraisers, including the office lemonade stand to help contribute to the cause.

As a whole, the company raised more than $13,000 for cancer research last month.

“We are extremely proud of our employees for embracing the ALSF cause by devoting so much time and energy to make a difference through their participation in Power Month for Alex’s,” says Jeff Kaliner, Power’s Founding Partner. “From our employees in Melville, NY, who raised over $1,350 through their office lemonade stand, to the top producers in our Chester, PA office who spent their free time hosting stands during weekends in June — our remarkable employees really banded together to spread Alex’s story to customers in all eight of the markets we do business.”
