Volunteers to Hit the Ground for Playground

SCO site to get help from two organizations.

Volunteers will be building a playground Tuesday at SCO Family of Services' Madonna Heights Campus.

KaBOOM, a nonprofit that creates playspaces, and United Healthcare volunteers will work together on the project at 151 Burrs Lane, Dix Hills.

The Madonna Heights site houses or provides services for a variety of people in need.

The Dix Hills project is one of three playgrounds UnitedHealthcare is building Tuesday as part of its “Do Good. Live Well" initiative.
