Coming UP: LIRR Changes, Cabaret

What's happening around town this week.

New LIRR Schedules for Holiday
The Long Island Rail Road is changing service schedules starting Monday and running through Feb. 23. Schedules feature extra trains for the Christmas and New Year's holidays including, early afternoon trains departing Penn on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve; extra trains into New York City for New Year's Eve; and extra early morning trains New Year's Day for those returning from the City. Holiday Folk Music Program

The Bob Wescott Holiday Revue Series is scheduled for Thursday, part of the Hard Luck Cafe program at Cinema Arts.  The program, which starts at 7:30 p.m., features Ray Lambiase, Hank Stone and Bill Lauter.

Cabaret at the Arts League
Janice Buckner will perform in a cabaret concert Saturday at the Art League of Long Island in Dix Hills. The free concert will include blues, original songs and Broadway tunes, and starts at 8 p.m. Joining the performance are Ben Boecker and Anna E. Kravis and Miles Kravis.

Paramount Hosting a Blood Drive
The Paramount will host a blood drive Sunday starting at 9 a.m., with a chance for donors to win a pair of tickets to the Super Bowl.
