Opening at the Mall
CUPS Frozen Yogurt will open its doors Tuesday at Walt Whitman Shops. It is one of the new businesses facing out toward Route 110. Brio, which had planned to open Oct. 10, postponed but will try again, planning to open Wednesday.

Authors Reading
Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer will sign her new book, The Case of the Time-Capsule Bandit, at the Book Revue Wednesday, followed Thursday by Smithtown author Jeb Ladouceur. Both at 7 p.m.

Town Board Meeting
The Town Board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Community Meeting
Suffolk Police invite members of the public to a community meeting Friday at the South Huntington Public Library, 7 p.m.

Frightmare at Cinema Arts
Time to dress the part. Cinema Arts is hosting a Halloween Frightmares double feature and costume contest Saturday starting at 10:30 p.m.Showing  Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice. Tickets are $13 or $9 for members.
