Boats on Parade in Huntington Harbor
Maritime parade to benefit the Huntington Lighthouse.
The launch of the holiday season moves to the harbor Friday with the fourth annual harbor parade of lights.
Boats will start the parade at 6 p.m., heading south from Harbor Boating Club to the Mill Dam Road area and back up to finish at the Huntington Yacht Club.
The parade is a fundraiser for the Huntington Lighthouse. In addition to the boats, some homes and businesses along the route are expected to compete for prizes for their holiday decorations.
Spectators will be able to see the parade from land at many points along the harbor, including Gold Star Battalion Beach, the Mill Dam Road area and Halesite Fire Department.
