am I the only one who feels that reporting should be just a TAD more complete? If the very last lineRead More says NOT to "handle it" (if you see one)...it seems to me the NEXT line should be a recommendation as to WHAT to do? I doubt the Police want to be called for this and if you don't "handle" it...it will be there forever....I would think that whatever so-called EXPERT gave this advice might have meant..."leave it alone long enough to make sure it wasn't recently shaken up...and then scoop it up into a bucket carefully????

Yeah, well... Anyway... How can one find out more info on this? Is the rocket solid or liquidRead More fueled? Is there some sort of guidance system on board? What payload will it be carrying? When will it be televised? This sounds like a blast! (pardon the pun...)

I wouldn't have anyone wave the white flag until Smithtown actually votes a budget down.
Concerned Commackian April 16, 2013 at 08:54 pm

Former Long Islander April 16, 2013 at 08:29 pm
Canon received about $100 million in government aid, including tax breaks from New York State andRead More Suffolk County, and an extra lane on each of the Long Island Expressway service roads. In return you got not new jobs, but just a relocation of existing jobs from four offices in Lake Success and one in Manhasset. Canon “hopes” to add 750 more jobs within 10 years. Wait and see if that happens. Bottom line is that you paid Canon $100 million to keep, not add, 1300 jobs, about $80,000 a job. What a good deal. Wee Little Heart, is that all you got.

Kudos to our wonderful, dedicated Music educators and talented students. How sad that our districtRead More is now reducing Music Education and opportunities for children in Middle School. I would just add that, while instrumental Music begins in 3rd Grade with Recorder instruction, Music Education - taught by professional music educators - begins in Kindergarten!

Bravo once again, to Sal Randazzo and the ENTIRE music department on receiving this distinguishedRead More award and for developing and honing the skills of HHH music students from 3rd grade and beyond. I just want to mention that the three photos represented here are the elite HHH Cross Campus groups--Chamber Orchestra conducted by Karen Romeo, Wind Ensemble conducted by Robert Belanich, and Choir directed by Dr. Danielle McCroy.
